Regener8: a Cursillo Short Weekend

Regener8 is a short weekend designed to encourage those who have already been to a three-day Cursillo , as they continue in their Fourth Day.

It is especially aimed at those who made their Cursillo some years ago, or have not had the opportunity to serve on a Cursillo Team. We all have the opportunity for occasional bursts of encouragement at Ultreya gatherings, and more regularly in Group Reunions, but Regener8 will offer a more sustained experience with a positive focus on serving God’s Church.

When? Regener8 will be held on the Sunday afternoon and Monday of the June long weekend (June 10-11, 2018), running concurrently with Men’s 45 Cursillo.

Where? Regener8 will be in The Lodge (and also the nearby cabins) at Ridgecrest Conference Centre, Burrendong Dam. Men’s 45 will be using the main conference centre at Ridgecrest at the same time. If numbers exceed the accommodation limit of 35, people can choose to stay in a motel in Wellington (about 20 minutes away) and join in the Regener8 activities at a cost of $5.00

Why? For various reasons, many Cursillistas do not get the opportunity to serve on a Cursillo team, or perhaps have not had the opportunity for some years, and have said they would like to experience the encouragement and fellowship of a Cursillo weekend again. Regener8 offers that opportunity, while also making it easier for the Fourth Day to attend the Mananita and Clausura.

Who? Regener8 is open to all Cursillistas and their young families – child care and supervised kids’ activities will be provided on site.

Cost: Early Bird price (payment with registration before May 18, 2018) $55 per person (maximum of $100 per family). Full cost (for payments after May 18) $60.

Catering: Please bring either a casserole or dessert to share for the Sunday evening meal, as well as a small quantity of slice, biscuits or fruit to share for morning tea on Monday. A simple breakfast and lunch will be provided, but if you have special dietary needs please bring your own requirements.
